Kershaw County School District will be on a regular school schedule Friday, August 9. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigated this storm together.
All Kershaw County School District schools will shift to e-Learning on Thursday, August 8, due to the forecast for heavy rain and potential flash flooding from Tropical Storm Debby. All afterschool activities and sports are also canceled for Thursday.
Get ready for the 2024-2025 school year in Kershaw County School District with important back-to-school reminders including the first day of school on Thursday, August 1, staggered start dates for kindergarten, school start/dismissal times, free student meals, bus information, school supply lists, the clear bag policy, and summer reading rewards.
Families of returning KCSD students—including families who completed their pre-kindergarten or kindergarten students’ initial enrollment this spring—will receive an email with your students’ registration codes and instructions to complete the online registration process on Monday, July 8. If you do not receive this email on July 8, please check your spam or promotions folder. If you do not see it, please contact your children’s schools for this registration code and information.
On July 1, 2024, the S.C. Department of Health & Environmental Control (DHEC) became two separate agencies: S.C. Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) and S.C. Department of Public Health (DPH).
The S.C. Department of Public Health and the Kershaw County Health Department have informed the District of the following changes for the Back-to-School Vaccine Clinic scheduled for July 11.
This summer, our district and the Kershaw County Library have joined together with our community to offer fun reading and summer activities for our students! We have reading activities for elementary and middle schools, a reading Quest with prizes for high school, and honors summer reading lists.
